Heading into the summer transfer window, one player who looks set to be the subject of much speculation is Eddie Nketiah.

The Arsenal striker has found regular game time hard to come by this season, finding himself behind the likes of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order for Mikel Arteta's side.

As a result, it now seems as though Ipswich Town could potentially offer the 24-year-old a way out of the Emirates Stadium once the market opens.

According to a recent report from TeamTalk, the Tractor Boys are plotting an ambitious move to sign the Arsenal man this summer.

That comes as they prepare for a return to the Premier League, after securing promotion from the Championship last weekend.

The signing of Nketiah would be an eye-catching one for Ipswich to make, and with that in mind, we've taken a look at the latest when it comes to the striker's ahead of the summer window, right here.

With the Tractor Boys now preparing for a first season in the Premier League in over 20 years, it seems as though they are looking to make their mark in the transfer window ahead of that return.

As per this report from TeamTalk, Ipswich are keen to make some exciting signings in the market this summer. Nketiah is one of those they are said to be eyeing in what is deemed an ambitious move.

The good news for Ipswich though, is that there may be a chance they can tempt him to head to Portman Road this summer. It is suggested that the 24-year-old may favour a departure from The Emirates Stadium this summer.

That would seemingly be with a view to securing more regular game time. So far this season, the striker has started just ten Premier League games for Arsenal.

Gunners could sell Nketiah

It seems it is not just the player who is open to a move away from Arsenal for Nketiah this summer, but also the club themselves.

According to that report, the Gunners would also be willing to sell the striker this summer if the right offer comes in, and have told the striker that he is free to find a new club with the market about to open.

Indeed, a separate report from The Evening Standard has also identified Nketiah as being one of the players who could leave The Emirates Stadium before the start of next season. That is despite the fact he has three years left on his contract, putting Arsenal in a strong position to respond to offers.

As a result, there may be an opening for Ipswich to make their move for the Arsenal man over the course of the coming weeks and months.

Rival Premier League interest

One issue that Ipswich may well have to overcome if they are to win the race for Nketiah, is interest from elsewhere in the Premier League.

Reports earlier in the season claimed that Crystal Palace had seen a bid rejected by Arsenal for and it has been suggested that the Eagles retain an interest in the 24-year-old, amid apparent interest from several top-flight clubs.

West Ham have also been touted as potential suitors for Nketiah during the current campaign.

Given those clubs are more established at Premier League level, it would no doubt be a challenge for Ipswich to move ahead of them in the battle to secure the services of Nketiah this summer.
