Real Madrid pair set for ‘imminent’ contract renewal meetings | OneFootball

Two headline members of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will imminently sit down with representatives from the club, to talk through their respective futures.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić as being the pair in question.

Both Kroos and Modrić, of course, are set to see their respective terms in Spain’s capital come to a close in the summer.

Still playing central roles in the engine room setup of Carlo Ancelotti, particularly in the case of the former, though, a fresh round of discussions over potential renewals have been pencilled in for the coming days.

Though previous claims in the media have assured that Kroos has already come to an agreement on the basic terms of a new deal, Marca assure that his future is yet to be decided.

The same is the case for midfield partner-in-crime Modrić.

Carlo Ancelotti, for his part, is eager to have both veteran performers at his disposal for the 2024/25 campaign.

Until they sit down with the Real Madrid brass to talk through the possibility of as much, however, the situation remains up in the air…
