Liverpool fans have been voted the noisiest in the Premier League in a poll of supporters, former players and managers.

4,000 people were surveyed by Barclays and YouGov, with the Reds coming out on top of all 20 top-flight teams.

Similarly, the Anfield anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ edged out West Ham’s ‘I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles’ and Stoke’s ‘Delilah’ as the favourite song sung by fans of other clubs.

Newcastle came second in the noise list, whilst relegation-threatened Crystal Palace rounded off the top three.

Manchester United, who have been criticised for their atmosphere in recent months, were a surprise fourth.

The full list will be included in a report called ‘Game Changing fans – the 12th Player in every Premier League team’, which will be published in early May.
