In fact, with a minimum of 11 games to go, the Blues are already just one goal short of last season’s tally in all competitions.

City have scored 142 goals this campaign from 49 matches played – just shy of three goals scored for every game… let that sink in!

And that could have been many more if the 16 Premier League woodwork strikes had gone in.

But it at the Etihad Stadium that the defending Premier League champions have been at their scintillating best.

City have played 24 home games so far this season, winning 22 and losing twice.

The 53 Premier League goals have been backed up with 39 cup goals to total a staggering 92 goals at the Etihad from just 24 games.

That equates to an average of 3.8 goals scored for each home game this term, conceding just 15 and keeping 12 clean sheets.

And the Blues have scored five or more goals at home on no less than nine occasions to date this season, though with just three Premier League home games remaining (Cardiff, Spurs and Leicester) and 15 goals needed, Chelsea’s record of 68 home goals set in 2009/10 looks safe for another year.

In numerical order, Burton (9), Schalke and Rotherham (7), Chelsea, Southampton, Shakhtar, Huddersfield (6) and Burnley - twice - (5).

City have won 10  Etihad games in a row since the 3-2 home loss to Crystal Palace just before Christmas and 10 games on the bounce home and away since losing to Newcastle at the end of January.

Perhaps more impressively, the Blues have won 18 out of 19 matches in all competitions since the back-to-back losses to Palace and Leicester City - a staggering run of form, all achieved in just 77 breathless days (almost exactly one game every four days).

Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling have been responsible for more than half the goals scored at the Etihad with a combined 48 between them.

Aguero leads the way with 18 goals, while Sterling and Gabriel Jesus both have a healthy 15 each.

Six hat-tricks have been shared between our prolific trio, too – Aguero (3), Jesus (2) and Sterling (1).

Leroy Sane is next in the Etihad scorer’s list with eight goals, followed by Bernardo on six and David Silva on five.

There have also been five own goals scored at the Etihad to date, too.

All in all, you’d have to say ‘Fortress Etihad’ - and then some…

That's entertainment!
