Liverpool have been cleared by Barcelona to make a summer move for attacker Ousmane Dembele, according to TEAMtalk.
The La Liga giants signed Dembele from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 for a colossal £90million fee, but the 22-year-old never quite lived up to expectations.
And now it seems, with the imminent arrival of Frenkie de Jong and reported signing of Antoine Griezmann, that Dembele could be on his way out of the Nou Camp in the current transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp has been told that the Frenchman is available for transfer, with Anfield being top of his wishlist of next destinations.
It’s thought that the Reds won’t look to spend big again this summer after investing heavily last year on a number of top targets.
However, with Barcelona actively pushing Dembele on the Champions League winners, a rethink could be in order.
It remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool will be receptive to Barcelona’s offer this summer.
