Speaking to TNT Sports, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he is really happy with the club’s La Liga title triumph after having had to overcome many problems this season.

Real Madrid sealed the La Liga title last week following their win over Cadiz and Barcelona’s slip-up against Girona. The Merengues will be handed the trophy officially this Sunday.

It has not been an easy road for Real Madrid, considering that they were without two of their most important players in Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, and David Alaba through injuries for most of the season.

Furthermore, the likes of Vinicius Jr., Arda Guler, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni also spent significant time out on the sidelines.

As such, Ancelotti feels that the win feels special after having overcome all the hurdles.

“I’m really satisfied to win La Liga, because it was difficult. We’ve had a lot of problems and we were able to solve these problems with a fantastic commitment by the players. We’re really happy for this,” he said.

Stating that the club’s future is in safe hands with the current squad, the Italian tactician added:

“We have a young squad and I think that the future will be really good for us. It’s a good connection between the ability, the experience, the history and tradition of the club. There’s a good connection.”

On the UCL

Now, Real Madrid have a great chance to make it to the finals of the UEFA Champions League when they face Bayern Munich in the semi-final second leg later tonight.

Looking forward to the tie against his former employers, Ancelotti said: “Bayern have a good team, really good. [They are] Fantastic in transition. They have a striker really with quality, really dangerous. We could play better, we try to play better.”

On the prospect of making it to another UCL final, the Real Madrid boss said: “The final of the Champions League is the best game, where you want to be. I would like to be in another final.”
