The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have identified another member of the club’s first-team ranks as all but non-transferrable this coming summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Andreas Christensen as being the player in question.

The subject of those on the chopping block when it comes to potential sales at Barcelona over the coming months has of course proven a headline talking point in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent days.

As much comes amid widespread confirmation that only a very short list of players have been set aside as not for sale under any circumstances.

Sport, for their part, highlight five names, in the form of Marc-André ter Stegen, Pau Cubarsí, Lamine Yamal, Gavi and Pedri.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word doing the rounds on Wednesday is anything to go by, then another can be considered as all but an official member of this list, too.

The player in question comes in the form of Andreas Christensen, whose performances, versatility and overall commitment to the cause in Barcelona have seen him emerge as a favourite of boss Xavi over the course of the last two seasons.

The Danish international has of course been shifted into a deep-lying role in midfield over recent months, in the process proving himself an even more valuable member of the Blaugrana’s ranks.

A transfer would in turn only be considered by Deco and the backroom staff at the Camp Nou in the case of a frankly exorbitant offer arriving for Christensen, with the former Chelsea man therefore labelled as ‘almost non-transferrable’.
