Atlético de Madrid narrowly defeated Mallorca to extend their lead in the race for fourth to six points with four games remaining.

It was the perfect start from the visitors as they found an early lead through Rodrigo Riquelme.
Mallorca dominated possession in the subsequent hour however, probing the stubborn Atleti defence trying to find an opening — though they struggled mightily.
Despite that persistent probing, the hosts could not find a way through and pull themselves level.
With just four games remaining the LaLiga campaign, Atleti sit in pole position to wrap up fourth place.
