Not so long ago, Barcelona were staring at an uncertain situation as far as their kit manufacturers were concerned as the partnership with Nike was close to collapsing.

Other options, including manufacturing their own kits or joining hands with Puma, were being explored by the Blaugrana even as they worked towards severing ties with Nike.

But the situation has flipped around completely in recent weeks as Barcelona and Nike are set to prolong their partnership by inking a mammoth new contract.

Barcelona could land around €200 million from new Nike deal

As has already been reported, Barcelona’s new contract with Nike will see the Catalans earn a total of €120 million per season.

In addition to that, there will also be an additional €100 million given to the club as a signing bonus, which will help ease their Financial Fair Play issues this summer.

But, there could be more revenue in store for Barça from the deal as kit insider Memorabilia1899 has come forward with a fresh update on the matter.

As per the latest report, apart from the €120 million sum, Barcelona could earn another €70 million per year from the Nike deal through new variable bonuses.

The report does add that the final amount is yet to be confirmed but the total figure could rise to €190 million, making it one of the most lucrative kit deals in football.

Negotiations are understood to be in the final stages and an official announcement from Barcelona could be expected in the coming weeks.
