A whole host of high-profile members of the first-team ranks at Real Madrid have on Saturday secured for themselves a first-ever league title.

As much comes owing to developments across the day to date.

Real, for their part, were back in action earlier this evening, welcoming struggling Cádiz to the Spanish capital for a La Liga clash.

Los Blancos ultimately emerged comfortable 3-0 victors, meaning anything other than a Barcelona victory over Girona would see the Spanish top-flight crown officially make its way back to the capital.

And, when all was said and done in Catalunya, this is precisely what played out.

After Barcelona headed into the interval at the Estadi Montilivi a goal to the good, a 2nd-half collapse meant that it was hosts Girona who secured for themselves a hugely impressive 4-2 triumph.

Real Madrid, as a result, can no longer be mathematically caught atop the La Liga table.

And, in turn, a number of headline members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad have added a first career league medal to their respective silverware collections.

This list includes the likes of Jude Bellingham, Antonio Rüdiger, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Arda Güler, Joselu, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Fran García.
