Rangers went closest to scoring during a goalless first half, when Eilidh Austin’s 35-yard rocket smacked against the face of Kelsey Daugherty’s crossbar.

Natasha Flint had two opportunities for Celtic but put one well over with the goalkeeper off her line, then later pulling a shot just wide of the far post.

Victoria Esson made a good save to keep out a Flint half-volley in the second half, then in the last minute of the 90, Mia McAulay became the second Rangers player to rattle the bar from distance.

Kathy Hill passed up a chance for Rangers in the dying seconds, when not taking a shot close to goal.

Both Rangers and Celtic have three games left in the title race.
