Crystal Palace are more willing to sell defender Marc Guehi than Manchester United;s primary target, Michael Olise.

Despite how poor United were in Monday night’s defeat at Selhurst Park, the Eagles were equally impressive and the arrival of Oliver Glasner has really breathed life into the football club.

In Guehi, Olise and Eberechi Eze, the London based side is also in possession of three of the most exciting prospects in the division.

The Red Devils clearly need upgrades in a variety of positions and they have been linked to both Guehi and Olise numerous times.

However, there seems significantly stronger rumours attached to Olise, who is reported to be the one approved INEOS target, despite the fact future sporting director Dan Ashworth still hasn’t officially arrived at the club due to his ongoing court case with Newcastle.

The Frenchman was at his sensational best on Monday night as he tore into United’s beleaguered defence and helped himself to two long range goals, which will have done no harm to his chances of securing a move to a bigger club.

However, GIVEMESPORT‘s most recent update could spell trouble for United’s dreams of bringing in the creative star.

“Crystal Palace are more open to cashing in on central defender Marc Guehi than offloading Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze after boss Oliver Glasner has started putting plans in place ahead of his first full campaign at the Selhurst Park helm, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.”

This is probably due to the fact that Guehi has barely featured under the new manager due to injury, only making his first appearance under Glasner off the bench in the resounding victory over United earlier this week.

“Palace will not entertain allowing Guehi, Olise and Eze to embark on a fresh challenge when the transfer window reopens in the coming weeks, but they are refusing to rule out the possibility of cashing in on one of their key men as it would boost Glasner’s budget.”

However, “GMS sources have been told that Olise is more likely to move onto pastures new than Eze as he has gained more interest than his teammate despite his hamstring problems.”

In addition, “Manchester United could offer Olise a route out of Selhurst Park as they are keen to add homegrown talent to their ranks ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, and he would count towards the top flight quota despite being capped by France at under-21 level.”

It has been reported that a deal could already be complicated to for the Frenchman as United will not have any Champions League football next year but the withdrawal of Chelsea from the race to sign the exciting spark can only be seen as a positive for the Red Devils.

The player is certainly an exciting potential addition to Old Trafford and has been described as “confident and creative, capable of carrying the ball forward, dribbling through traffic and delivering penetrative yet delicate passes and crosses.”

Therefore, if United are to convince Palace to sell they may have to pay quite a bit more than they originally anticipated for him, in a summer window where every penny is going to count.
