Roberto De Zerbi has been linked with the job at Milan and Napoli, as well as Bayern Munich and Manchester United, but again warns Brighton he needs to be ‘happy’ to remain.

The Italian tactician is regularly mentioned as one of the candidates for a return to Serie A, with roles open at Milan and Napoli in particular.

There are even suggestions he could remain in the Premier League at Manchester United or join German giants Bayern Munich.

De Zerbi reiterates warning

Following his comments over the last few days at a fan event in Brighton, De Zerbi reiterated to Sky Sports UK that he is ready to remain with the Seagulls, but only if the squad is reinforced to his specifications.

“I would like to stay at Brighton, because I love the players, I love this city, I told the fans if I’m happy, there isn’t any club that can bring myself to change, but I want to keep my passion, always.”

Director Paul Barber had joked that he would bring De Zerbi a cappuccino every morning to keep him happy.

“I need more than cappuccino,” was the response.
