Heading into the final three games of the season, it is a result that sees the destination of the league title remain in the hands of Elena Sadiku's side.

Speaking after the match , the Celtic Head Coach said: “The reflection is that even if it’s a good result, I think we performed really well to actually take the three points.

“I think the hunger, the passion and the tactical views, we did really well in the game.

“In the second half too, we actually created more chances and on at least one of them. Unfortunately we didn’t, but we are still top of the league, and that is the most important thing.

“We really wanted the win and we fought for the win. In the end, we got the draw and that is something we knew would keep us at the top of the league.

“That is something that we are obviously happy about, but we should have won today.”

It is gearing up to be a huge week as we enter the run-in for the final few fixtures of the 2023/24 campaign.

Starting off with a return to the Excelsior Stadium on Sunday against Partick Thistle, the Hoops then round the season off with games against the two Edinburgh sides, Hearts and Hibernian.

Sadiku and her squad know that they task at hand won’t be easy, with some tough games coming up.

However, the Celtic boss is confident in her squad and their ability to focus on one game at a time, with Thistle on the horizon this weekend.

“We know that our final three games are not going to be easy," she said. "We just need to be hungry like we were on Monday.

'But I’m confident and I have a strong belief in my players. So it’s very exciting times ahead.'

“We just need to enjoy the moment, be hungry as we were today and do what we are good at, and that is playing football.”
