Liverpool welcomed Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield earlier this evening as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 16th minute when Mohamed Salah found the back of the net. Andy Robertson got his name on the scoresheet in the 45th minute as the Merseyside club went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

Jurgen Klopp‘s players made a great start to the second half and scored their third goal thanks to Cody Gakpo’s excellent header in the 50th minute. Harvey Elliott killed the game with a sublime strike just nine minutes later. Tottenham got a goal back via Richarlison’s effort in the 72nd minute before Heung-min Son got his name on the scoresheet just five minutes later. The contest ended with Liverpool securing a comfortable 4-2 win at Anfield.

The Brazilian keeper made a few solid saves at the back but won’t be happy after conceding two late goals.

He performed his defensive duties well and made two decent chances going forward.

CB: Jarell Quansah – 7/10

Quansah did his fair share of defending and was a good presence on the ball.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10

The Dutch talent put his foot through the ball when needed but looked shaky at the back late in the game.

LB: Andy Robertson – 8/10

He worked hard defensively and was lively on the left flank.

CM: Harvey Elliott – 9/10

Elliott caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders. He scored a great goal in the second half and even has an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Wataru Endo – 7/10

Endo caught the eye at times and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10

He anchored the midfield well and had a good game in the Tottenham half.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 8/10

Salah was a constant menace in the final third and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.

ST: Cody Gakpo – 9/10

He caused some chaos in and around the opponent’s penalty area and did well to score and create a goal this evening.

LW: Luis Diaz – 7/10

Diaz was a real handful for the Tottenham defenders but failed to find the back of the net.

CM: Stefan Bajcetic – 6/10

He added some energy to Liverpool’s midfield.

CB: Joe Gomez – 6/10

Gomez failed to keep things solid at the back.

CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.
