A phenomenal 19 goals were scored in our Premier League wins over Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Luton Town, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa which keep us in the fight for a fourth successive league title.

Our journey in the UEFA Champions League came to an end following a penalty shootout defeat to Real Madrid at the Etihad.

But a 1-0 triumph over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final meant that Pep Guardiola’s side can still secure two pieces of silverware come the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Find out more about the part the nominees played over the past month and cast your vote below…

KEVIN DE BRUYNE

It seems four is the magic number for our Belgian playmaker and his impressive month in blue.

It’s his perfect balance of passion, composure and relentless energy since his return from injury that has earned De Bruyne four Man of the Match awards come full-time of half our April fixtures.

He totalled three assists, teeing up both goals in our 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest and the other in our 4-1 triumph at Crystal Palace.

A brace at Selhurst Park, a goal in our 1-1 draw with Real Madrid and City’s first in our 4-0 thumping of Brighton highlighted how important KDB’s strikes have been in the past few weeks in keeping our title hopes alive and well.

Does De Bruyne get your vote?

JOSKO GVARDIOL

April might have been the Croatian defender’s best month of performances since joining City in the summer.

Josko Gvardiol has become an important figure in Guardiola’s defensive line, offering a perfect blend of defensive solidity and attacking overload against all of City’s opponents.

The 22-year-old featured in all of City’s league games and both Champions League semi-finals in the past month. He scored his first goal for the Club in our 3-3 draw with Real Madrid at the Bernabeu and his super strike clearly meant a lot to him as he celebrated with lots of emotion.

Gvardiol then went on to score two goals in three league games, extending City’s lead in our win over Luton as well as bagging our first in our recent 2-0 win at the City Ground.

It’s a month of high-quality football from a rising star in world football and a deserved nominee.

PHIL FODEN

Our boy from Stockport is shortlisted once again as he continues to enjoy his best season of football for his boyhood club.

After game-changing performances throughout April, Foden could pick up a third Player of the Month award if he ends up with the highest votes, a result reflective of how integral of a player he has been throughout the campaign.

Even with him unavailable for our league clashes with Palace and Luton, Foden totalled five league goals in two Premier League games.

The 23-year-old stole the show in our 4-1 victory over Aston Villa. A second half hat-trick embodied Foden’s bewitching quick feet and jaw dropping shots against a tough Unai Emery side that forced City to showcase some of our best football in the hard-fought win.

And his brace in our 4-0 win over Brighton saw him notch his 50th – and 51st – top-flight goals for the Club.

City’s second goal in our 3-3 draw with Real, Foden proved that his mindset would not faulter if City fell behind and his actions that evening at the Etihad undoubtedly helped motivate the team in a difficult fight against Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

The England international continued his fine form in the FA Cup too. He featured for the entirety of our 1-0 win at Wembley, causing Chelsea’s defensive line numerous problems before Bernardo Silva finally broke the deadlock late in the second half.

A tough decision awaits the fans – who will get your vote for April's Etihad Player of the Month?
