Everton are set to offer Jack Wilshere a massive signing on fee in the hope that he will join them for a free in the summer.

The England international is out of contract at Arsenal come the end of the season, and has so far stalled on signing a new deal in north London.

And the Times are reporting on Sunday that Sam Allardyce’s side will offer the 26-year-old a staggering £8m as an incentive to move to Merseyside.

Wilshere’s career has been curtailed by injuries in recent seasons, but so far this campaign he’s been a relative regular in Arsène Wenger’s starting line up – playing 17 games in the Premier League.

Other clubs including AC Milan and Juventus are also thought to be monitoring his situation carefully, but with Theo Walcott having made the move to Goodison Park recently, Everton looks like a good bet for his signature.
