FEYENOORD STAR SPEAKS OUT ON ARNE SLOT IMPACT

As reported by Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, Feyenoord's Bijlow has revealed the significant impact that Slot has had on the Rotterdam club over the past few seasons.

"When the coach came, we had a completely different philosophy at the club," said Bijlow. "Playing football from behind was not our thing. The professionalism, and everything surrounding it, has improved a lot. [Slot has] played a large part in that.

"It's a shame for our club [if Slot leaves]. But just like with a player, you also give him a nice step because he has done so well."

Slot has had plenty of praise from the Dutch media over the past few days and also received a glowing recommendation from former Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt.

Slot has been commended for overachieving with both Feyenoord and his previous club AZ Alkmaar and has employed an attractive, attacking style of football during his short managerial career.

He is a huge fan of both Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, and already has some silverware to back up his exciting potential.
