Bayern Munich star Harry Kane was tonight drawn on the exchange between he and compatriot Jude Bellingham, in the buildup to his penalty attempt versus Real Madrid.

Englishmen Kane and Bellingham, of course, are fresh off locking horns on the continent.

In the first leg of the Champions League semi-final tie between the clubs, Kane’s Bayern welcomed Bellingham’s Real to the Allianz Arena.

When all was said and done in a thoroughly entertaining affair, the spoils were shared, by way of a 2-2 draw.

And Kane, for his part, was amongst the goals once more, taking his tally for the campaign to a hefty 43 across all competitions, courtesy of a coolly-dispatched 2nd-half spot-kick.

As the former Tottenham man readied himself to step up from 12 yards, he was somewhat surprisingly approached by the aforementioned Bellingham.

The Real Madrid starlet was seen speaking into the ear of his fellow countryman, an act which quickly set tongues wagging online.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle in Munich, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the exchange was put to Kane himself.

The 30-year-old, though, went on to admit that he is unaware of exactly what Bellingham said, albeit under the assumption that it came as an attempt to put him off:

“What did Jude say? To be honest, I don’t know. I was in the moment. I’m sure he was trying to say something to put me off.”
