Hibernian Women hold Glasgow City after late fightback | OneFootball

Glasgow City had to settle for a home draw with Hibernian ahead of Monday afternoon’s top of the SWPL clash between Rangers and Celtic.

SWPL 1

Hearts 3-2 Partick Thistle Spartans 0-0 Dundee United Montrose 1-1 Motherwell Hamilton Academical 3-3 Aberdeen Glasgow City 2-2 Hibernian

Anna Oscarsson and Carlee Giammona had Glasgow City two up against Hibernian, before the visitors halved the deficit on 80 minutes through Jorian Baucom and Poppy Lawson levelled from outside the box in stoppage time.

A Kathleen McGovern brace and Katie Lockwood goal had Hearts 3-0 up against Partick Thistle, whose comeback with a Cara Henderson penalty and late Codie Hay effort fell just short.

Montrose drew with Motherwell to seal a second season in the top flight, Spartans stayed seven points ahead of the bottom two despite being held 0-0 at home by Dundee United.

Hamilton Academical shared six goals with Aberdeen to remain in the relegation play-off position and goal-difference off the bottom. Accies twice led ten-player Dons by two goals after a straight red card for Madison Finnie, Eilidh Shore was to make it 3-3 after which the hosts’ Keira Ritchie was sent off.

SWPL 2

Boroughmuir Thistle 3-2 St Johnstone Gartcairn 1-2 Livingston Glasgow Women 1-2 Stirling University Queen’s Park 3-2 Kilmarnock

Champions Queen’s Park edged second-placed Kilmarnock 3-2, with Livingston taking the chance to move a point behind them with victory at Gartcairn.

Stirling University won at Glasgow Women to sit just a point short of them in the battle to avoid last place.

PFA Scotland Awards

PFA Scotland SWPL 1 Player of the Year winner was Rachel Rowe of Rangers, while team-mate Mia McAulay won Young Player of the Year.
