The latest La Liga title secured by Real Madrid on Saturday saw the capital giants extend their advantage as Spanish football’s most successful-ever club.

Just how many more titles, though, do Real boast than the chasing pack?

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops, of course, are fresh off a day to remember on Saturday.

After the club’s 3-0 downing of Cádiz was followed in turn by Barcelona slipping to defeat at the hands of Girona, Los Blancos were officially crowned as La Liga champions for the 2023/24 campaign.

This came as Real’s 2nd triumph in three years, and third in five.

Turning attentions towards the history of Spanish football, they have now secured champion status in La Liga on a remarkable 36 occasions.

Next on the list are Barcelona, albeit with those on the other half of the Clásico divide a full nine behind, with 27.
