Juventus are set to make a ‘Gonzalo Higuaín-esque’ bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, it’s been reported.

The Bianconeri splashed €90m to bring Higuaín to Turin from Napoli back in 2016.

And Tuttosport has suggested that the Italian champions will do the same again this summer to try and lure the Lewandowski to Serie A.

The Polish international has been a goal machine for the Bavarians since arriving from Borussia Dortmund four years ago.

The 29-year-old has found the net 131 times for Jupp Heynckes’ men – leading them to three Bundesliga titles and a DFB Pokal cup win.

However, strong rumours have circulated this season that the goalscorer will leave the Allianz Arena, after criticising the Bayern board for their lack of investment.

Juve see Lewandowski as the ideal man to lead their attack, with Mario Mandžukić potentially leaving and stories that Paulo Dybala could be the subject of a bid from Barcelona.

Real Madrid are the other European giant who have been linked with his signature – with Marca claiming on Wednesday that Los Blancos see him as the long-term replacement for Karim Benzema.
