Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is readying a pair of head-turning changes to his midfield setup, for the club’s impending showdown with Bayern Munich.

That’s according to COPE‘s Blancos journalist Miguel Ángel Díaz.

Real, of course, will turn their attentions back towards matters on the continent on Tuesday.

After all but sewing up the La Liga title, next on the agenda is the Champions League, beginning with the first leg of the club’s semi-final showdown with German heavyweights Bayern.

Carlo Ancelotti’s squad flew out to Munich on Monday, ahead of taking to the pitch at the Allianz Arena later this evening.

After heavy rotation in the XI which faced Real Sociedad over the weekend, the vast majority of Real Madrid’s key performers are expected to return to starting duties in Bavaria.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, the Spanish giants’ coaching staff could yet spring a surprise or two.

As per the aforementioned Miguel Ángel Díaz, there will be two changes to the midfield four which took to the pitch at The Etihad in the 2nd leg of Real’s Champions League quarter-final tie with Manchester City.

Aurélien Tchouaméni is set to come back into the XI in place of Eduardo Camavinga, with the major shock coming in the form of the claim that Toni Kroos, too, will be forced to make do with a spot on the bench.

This comes with Carlo Ancelotti ready to depend upon Luka Modrić, alongside the trio of Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, and Tchouaméni.
