Kylian Mbappé has confirmed he will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

The news does not come as a shock as it has long been rumoured that the 25-year-old would swap the French capital for its Spanish counterpart this summer when his contract expires and join Real Madrid at long last.

In a video released by the player across social media, Mbappé thanked all of the players and coaches he worked with at PSG and made a special acknowledgment to the people behind the scenes and the fans.

He added that everyone at the club will “remain in my heart forever.”

The French captain joined the club in the summer of 2017 from Monaco, first on loan before making the move permanent the following year.

In his time with the club, he has scored a record 255 goals in 306 appearances, winning multiple Ligue 1 titles and domestic cups but failing to capture the Champions League.

Mbappé will reportedly receive a farewell from the club on his final appearance at the Parc des Princes this Sunday when PSG take on Toulouse.
