Liverpool supporters had plenty to cheer on Sunday.

The Reds got back to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Tottenham at Anfield, a result that, teamed with Aston Villa's defeat to Brighton, means that Jurgen Klopp's side can finish no lower than third this season.

However, that was not the only match that the club's fans were keeping an eye on, with likely next boss Arne Slot also in action with his Feyenoord side in the Eredivisie.

The Rotterdam club, who are now guaranteed to finish second in the league, were in action against 12th-placed PEC Zwolle at De Kuip.

Unsurprisingly given Feyenoord have been victorious in 24 of their 32 matches in the Eredivisie this season, Slot's men cruised to another emphatic win on Sunday evening - one that has Liverpool fans excited.

ARNE SLOT & FEYENOORD ENJOY FIVE-STAR WIN

After witnessing Liverpool's 4-2 win over Spurs, supporters were able to cast an eye towards Feyenoord's evening clash with PEC Zwolle.

It was a remarkably one-sided affair that ended 5-0 in Feyenoord's favour, with a brace from exciting Mexican forward Santiago Gimenez and a late effort from Liverpool-linked Lutsharel Geertruida.

While the result is impressive in itself, Feyenoord's domination is perhaps what excited Liverpool fans most.

As per Fotmob, Feyenoord scored five from an xG of, well, exactly 5.00. They managed a total of 30 shots across the match, 17 of which were on target, and created a staggering ten big chances - seven of which were squandered.

In contract, PEC Zwolle had just three shots in the entire match, none of which were on target.

Feyenoord also dominated the ball with 64% possession, finishing the match with 86% pass completion, and bettered PEC Zwolle in duels won and successful dribbles.

The icing on the cake for Liverpool supporters will be the fact that Feyenoord fans were screaming Slot's name come full-time - and seemingly waving goodbye to him - with the victory most likely the 45-year-old's penultimate home game in charge of the Dutch side.

While a comfortable victory would be expected given the gulf in quality between the sides, Feyenoord's dominance in and out of possession is encouraging.

Slot will, of course, be handed much greater challenges when he arrives at Anfield this summer, but it appears that Liverpool can look forward to exciting, attacking football regardless of what the future brings.
