Liverpool are preparing to shelve their plans to hold a farewell parade for Jürgen Klopp.

The German will walk away from Anfield this summer following a nine-year spell in the hot seat.

But hopes of Klopp receiving a public send-off from fans are expected to be put on ice due to the club’s season downturn.

Since lifting the EFL Cup, the Reds’ quadruple bid has faltered recent weeks with exits from both the FA Cup and Europa League.

According to This Is Anfield, club officials will only sanction a parade in the event of finishing the season as Premier League winners.

Klopp’s side are now five points adrift of leaders Arsenal at the summit heading into their final three games of the campaign.

That gulf could be widened if Manchester City win their game in hand against Tottenham next month.

Liverpool previously held victory parades after winning the Champions League in 2019 and the FA and EFL Cup in 2022.
