Liverpool have received no indications that Mohamed Salah wants to leave the club this summer and are expecting him to stay at Anfield next season, according to David Ornstein.

The Egyptian has faced significant criticism for his poor performances in recent weeks and things reached boiling point on Saturday following a touchline spat with Jurgen Klopp during the West Ham clash.

However, despite his contract expiring in 2025, Liverpool are expecting Salah to stick around next season.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes it's far too early to write Salah off and has backed the attacker to rediscover his best form.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that a summer break might be all the 31-year-old needs to reset himself and get back to his ruthless best.

Even if Salah is to stay, the future of another key man is also up in the air this summer for Liverpool.

According to the Mirror, captain Virgil Van Dijk is in no rush to sign a new deal with Liverpool as things stand, and the centre-back is supposedly at a 'crossroads' as he decides whether he wants to continue at Anfield.

He was reportedly 'disappointed' with Klopp's decision to leave Liverpool, but it's said that one of Arne Slot's top priorities when he replaces Klopp this summer will be sorting out Van Dijk's future.

While Liverpool are yet to officially confirm Arne Slot as Jurgen Klopp's successor, reports suggest that Liverpool will be sending £9.4m in the direction of Feyenoord to secure the Dutchman's services - £7.7m as a base fee with £1.7m in potential add-ons.

As per GiveMeSport, that would make Slot the fourth most expensive manager of all time.
