Olivier Giroud’s agent has revealed that the striker’s proposed move to Borussia Dortmund “could become a reality”.

The French forward has been rumoured to be a makeweight in the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deal, which would see the Gabon international move to the Emirates Stadium for a fee in the region of €55m.

And Michael Manuello, who represents the former Montpellier man, has claimed that Giroud could well be on his way to the Bundesliga.

“Today it is just rumours but tomorrow it could become a reality. Maybe,” he’s rather cryptically quoted as saying by the Guardian.

The 31-year-old has been a consistent goalscorer for the north London club since his arrival in 2012 but did in fact hold talks with the Schwarzgelben last summer over a potential move.

The deal collapsed however, after Aubameyang failed to depart the Westfalenstadion.

With the pacy striker now seemingly on his way to join Arsène Wenger’s side, it looks increasingly likely that Giroud’s switch to Dortmund is becoming a reality.
