Our 2023/24 campaign comes to an end on Saturday afternoon (3pm UK) and West Ham United are the visitors to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – tickets remain available for our final game of the season.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Hammers ahead of the game…

Form

After a difficult first half of the campaign, winning only one game in 10 and left them just above the relegation zone, West Ham certainly turned since the turn of the year, recording an impressive 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the beginning of February before holding Manchester United to a 1-1 draw – both of those results coming at home and helped lift the Hammers away from safety. However, the Hammers head into this weekend’s game, having won once in nine away WSL games and has seen them concede two or more goals on separate occasions.

Players to watch

Riko Ueki was named the Women’s Young Hammer of the Year in their previous outing in the league and celebrated that in style, scoring the opener in their 1-1 draw with Leicester City. The Japan international has either scored (2) or assisted (1) in each of West Ham’s last three WSL goal, netting five goals overall this season. Leading the goalscoring charts for West Ham is Viviane Asseyi who has found the back of the net on six occasions in the WSL, bettering her goal tally from last season. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold captains the side with Amber Tysiak and Hawa Cissoko in front of her as the central defender, the former scoring against us in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Without the services of Katrina Gorry and Kristie Mewis, it has seen Honoka Hayashi and Risa Shimizu covering the grass in the middle of the park, with Denmark international Emma Snerle playing slightly further ahead, who will be looking to present the opportunities to Asseyi and Ueki.

Manager – Rehanne Skinner

Skinner began her coaching career at Arsenal, joining as the first team Assistant Manager in the inaugural Women’s Super League and was part of the coaching staff that won the domestic treble in 2011. Following a spell as a coach for England U19s, U20s and U21s, and also as an assistant coach for the senior team, her first managerial job came at Spurs in November, 2020, and guided us to our highest-ever finish in the WSL at the end of the 2021/22 campaign. Skinner was appointed manager of West Ham United in the summer, becoming their first female manager of the WSL era.

Last time out

It was a rollercoaster of emotions when we travelled to Chigwell Construction Stadium earlier in the season as we edged out West Ham in a seven-goal thriller. A brace from Grace Clinton alongside Celin Bizet handed given us a two-goal advantage, with Risa Shimizu netting for the hosts in between our opening two goals, however Asseyi and Tysiak netted twice in eight minutes to bring the score level before Jess Naz stepped up to secure a 4-3 win in the final quarter of the game.
