Sections of the Real Madrid fanbase have on Wednesday evening made use of the opportunity to take aim at Lionel Messi.

Real, of course, are primed to return to action in short order.

After battling their way to a 2-2 stalemate in Germany last week, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops will welcome Bayern Munich to the Spanish capital, for the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi-final between the clubs.

With kick-off now just hours away, the streets of Madrid, in turn, have long begun to fill with a sea of white jerseys, banners and more.

Ready to push their side a step closer to a domestic and European double, the Blancos faithful have emerged in absolute on their trip to the Santiago Bernabéu.

And yet, whilst most are keen to simply cheer their team on, some have taken the opportunity to take aim at a player who for so long tortured their side in La Liga.

As showcased below, the supporters in question have come together to direct abusive chants at Barcelona icon Lionel Messi, the Argentine labelled a “son of a b***h” by the fans involved:
