A fresh insight into the future of Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has been forthcoming this weekend.

And the news, unsurprisingly, points towards the Polish international being all set to stay put for next season.

The subject of Lewandowski’s future has of course continued to position itself front and centre in the headlines in Spain over the course of recent weeks.

As much comes amid contrasting reports when it comes to Barcelona’s plans for the veteran attacker.

Whilst some outlets have assured that Xavi and his coaching staff are more than happy to keep hold of ‘Lewa’ beyond the summer, others have pointed towards a sale as being actively sought out.

This comes owing to the considerable dent which the 35-year-old’s hefty wages are set to leave in Barca’s finances with a view to next season.

Safe to say, however, that if the latest word stemming from Lewandowski’s inner circle is anything to go by, a Blaugrana departure is simply not on the cards this summer.

As per journalist Santi Ovalle of El Larguero, ‘Lewandowski’s entourage assures that the rumors about his departure from Barça “ARE NONSENSE”.’

With club and player alike eager to continue their relationship, there is therefore ‘no debate’ to be had.
