Robert Vilahamn on exciting week ahead of the Women’s FA Cup final | OneFootball

Robert Vilahamn says focus can now be turned towards our historic Adobe Women’s FA Cup final on Sunday (2.30pm UK).

After securing our spot in the final of the competition for the first time in our history – beating Leicester City 2-1 in extra time in the semi-final last month – we still had a number of Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures to compete in as we targeted a strong end to our campaign, which saw us extend our unbeaten run to five games in the league and cemented our spot in sixth in the table.

However, following the 2-2 stalemate at Everton at the weekend, the attention has now turned to our clash with Manchester United in the showpiece final at an expected sold-out Wembley Stadium this weekend.

We booked our spot at the home of national football after overcoming FA Women’s Championship sides Sheffield United and Charlton Athletic in the earlier rounds, beating Manchester City on penalties and, as mentioned above, securing a late winner against Leicester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Now, with just under a week until we step out at the national stadium, Robert is preparing for an exciting week and is aiming to go one step further on Sunday.

“Finally, we can start doing that because I’m very much looking forward to that game,” Robert replied when asked about the focus switching to the final.

“I can see the squad, and everyone is starting to prepare for it, and we are going to have a very good week, enjoy this week, and we will try to go for the trophy… it’s going to be amazing."
