Serie A giants Roma and Napoli played out a 2-2 draw today and the game saw striker Tammy Abraham return amongst the goals for the first time in many months.

Abraham has recently returned to action after returning from a serious ACL injury and he scored a late equaliser for Roma, heading past Alex Meret in the 90th minute to make sure that Daniele de Rossi’s side picked up a point from the game, with four games to go in the season.

Abraham last played for Roma around this time last year and after the goal, he spoke to DAZN (via TMW) about the moment and he stated that he had dreamt of the moment in the past.

“I’ve been dreaming of this moment since the beginning of the year, I’m coming off a serious injury. Today, luckily, the ball went in and I will celebrate with my teammates and family, even if it was only worth a draw and not a victory.”

He was also asked about the upcoming Europa League semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen and he gave credit to the new German champions.

“It will be a good match, I like challenges. Bayer Leverkusen deserve great respect, they have done an extraordinary job, but we want to be the ones to break their unbeaten streak.”
