AC Milan have initiated contacts with Porto Manager Sergio Conceicao for the soon-to-be vacant head coach position at the club. Per the report, the Rossoneri have narrowed their search to a few candidates.

Stefano Pioli will depart at the end of the season and it seems a Napoli move is on the cards for him. Milan are currently looking for his replacement and there are a few candidates in the running, such as Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi.

According to Sky Italia (via GDM), Milan have also initiated contacts with the Portuguese manager Conceicao. He recently renewed his contract with Porto but that was before the presidential election, which Andre Villas-Boas won over Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa (who renewed the contract).

Conceicao, therefore, is now inclined to leave the club and there is a clause in his contract which means he can do so by mutual consent. It’s a departure that Villas-Boas likely would allow if the manager were to ask for it.

In addition to Conceicao, Sporting’s Ruben Amorim is also on Milan’s list as per the report. However, there have been no contacts between the parties and the manager wants to stay at Sporting for the upcoming season.
