Tottenham Hotspur clashed heads with Liverpool at Anfield earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. Spurs made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 16th minute when Mohamed Salah scored from close range. Andy Robertson doubled Liverpool’s advantage in the 45th minute as Angelos Postecoglu’s men went into the half-time interval 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Cody Gakpo scored the home team’s third goal in the 50th minute before Harvey Elliott scored with a brilliant strike in the 59th minute. Spurs got a goal back thanks to Richarlison’s finish in the 72nd minute before Heung-min Son found the back of the net just five minutes later. The contest ended with Spurs suffering a tough 4-2 loss away from home.
