O3.5 Goals in Burnley v Newcastle @ 1/12.00

Burnley have seemingly come from nowhere to now have a real shot of retaining their Premier League status, and with Nottingham Forest to come at home in their final game, a win here would really put them in a good position.

Newcastle are fighting for European football for next season, and they start the day in seventh - just one point behind Manchester United in sixth. They too could do with taking maximum points, but their away record is very hit and miss this term.

I like goals in this one, especially due to the stats of the Magpies. When it comes to this selection landing this season across the Premier League, Championship, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue One, Eddie Howe's men only trail Ipswich Town.

Exactly half of their outings have finished with at least four goals, and while the Clarets are down at 31%, the need for them to win should lead to an open game.

Nottingham Forest have their own chance to pick up a much required three points this afternoon, and they couldn't have asked for an easier opponent than Sheffield United.

The Blades' relegation was confirmed last week, and they start the day having lost 25 of their 35 Premier League fixtures. A whopping 97 goals in the against column tells it's own story, and their three latest outings have all been high-scoring defeats.

Nuno Espírito Santo isn't known for attacking football, and his men have failed to find the net in each of their last two games, but victories are becoming critical now, and this is a good opportunity for his forwards to boost their confidence.

Forest have seen four of their last eight on the road finish with Over 3.5 backers collecting, and eight of United's last nine outings have followed suit.

Neither Brentford or Fulham have much left to play for this season, with both clubs safe from relegation, but no prospects of any prizes further up the division.

That being said, I am happy to give Over 3.5 Goals a go at the Gtech Community Stadium, especially as there is enough promise in the stats to suggest that 13/102.30 is a decent price.

The Cottagers have been involved in some high-scoring matches of late, including on their travels, with five of their last 11 away from home finishing with at least four goals. Crucially, of the six that missed out, four of them only did so by a single goal.

The Bees were beaten 1-0 at Goodison last weekend, but prior to that they thrashed Luton 1-5 at Kenilworth Road, and they also had a 3-3 draw with Aston Villa during April.
