It’s looking like a busy week for Chelsea. After they were linked with the now-injured Andy Carroll, the Blues are now reportedly chasing Edin Džeko of Roma.

According to Sky Italia, the London club would be willing to offer €65m to sign Džeko and his team-mate Emerson, on top of allowing Michy Bathshuayi move the other way on loan.

There are also links with OGC Nice midfielder Jean-Michaël Seri. The Mirror report the creative Ivorian is attracting interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

Widespread reports in Italy insist PSG‘s Lucas Moura is closing in on a switch to Napoli but the Serie A leaders will face competition – L’Équipe believe Manchester United and Tottenham remain in the race for the Brazilian.

Tuttosport have told everyone to be prepared for a ‘Gonzalo Higuaín-esque’ bid from Juventus for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

We’ll believe that when we see it.

Lassana Diarra is said to want a return to Europe, with Le Parisien linking him with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. Surely not…

Peter Crouch to Chelsea, something we’d all love to see. The Telegraph say the Blues have asked after 36-year-old striker but Stoke are unwilling to do business.

Fun fact: Crouch was once a ballboy at Stamford Bridge!

Brighton have struck a deal for Jürgen Locadia. They could pay PSV Eindhoven a club record fee, with bonuses taking the total up to £14m for the 24-year-old striker.

Gerard Piqué committed himself to Barcelona, signing a new deal until 2022. The defender’s new release clause is a staggering €500m.

Arsène Wenger confirmed a deal seeing Alexis Sánchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan swap clubs could be complete before the weekend.

The Arsenal manager also received a boost as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was left out of Borussia Dortmund‘s travelling party for their Bundesliga match on Friday.

Total spent so far: €471.5m
