In a recent report, Fichajes offered an update on Manchester United and their pursuit of Barcelona ace Raphinha. It has been claimed that the Red Devils would have to pay €60m if they want to sign the Brazilian wide player in the summer.

Raphinha is having a decent campaign at the Catalan club after putting in a series of influential displays out in the wide areas. The Brazilian talent has netted nine goals and grabbed 12 assists in 34 matches for Barcelona this season across multiple competitions.

The 27-year-old has been a good performer in the final third as he is averaging 2.0 shots, 1.5 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been accurate when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after making 80.5% of his attempted passes in the Spanish first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Nou Camp will expire in the summer of 2027. Therefore, Man United would have no choice but to meet Barca’s demands if they want to convince them to part ways with their prized asset later this year.

Raphinha is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some clear-cut chances for his teammates in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from long range.

The Brazilian sensation has proven himself to be a consistent performer in La Liga this season. He already knows the Premier League well from his time at Leeds United and won’t take much time to settle into life at Man United.

Raphinha would bring more firepower to the Mancunian club‘s frontline. He might even help the Red Devils challenge across all fronts in the coming years. Therefore, Man United should focus on getting a deal done for Raphinha in the summer transfer period.
