Aston Villa entertained Brentford at Villa Park earlier today as they hoped to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 39th minute thanks to Ollie Watkins’ effort. Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Morgan Rogers doubled the home team’s advantage in the 46th minute. However, Brentford came roaring back thanks to a goal each from Mathias Jorgensen and Bryan Mbeumo around the hour mark before Yoanne Wissa put his side 3-2 up in the 68th minute. Ollie Watkins ended up rescuing a point for the Villans as he scored the equaliser in the 80th minute. He failed to keep things tidy on the defensive end of the field and offered very little going forward.
