An insight into the future of Real Betis star Marc Roca has on Sunday been forthcoming online.

Midfielder Roca, for his part, has spent the season to date on loan with Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis.

And the Spaniard has gone on to establish himself as a key performer in the Verdiblancos’ ranks in the middle of the park, racking up 32 appearances across all competitions, including 22 La Liga starts.

In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of the brass at the Estadio Benito Villamarín being keen to keep hold of Roca beyond the summer.

And the last couple of weeks have seen Betis afforded a boost in their hopes of precisely that.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, in the case of Roca’s parent club, Leeds United, being promoted to the Premier League, the 27-year-old will return to base to play his football at Elland Road next season.

After Leeds looked increasingly likely to secure as much as the season’s conclusion approached, however, a sudden dip in form has seen the Whites tumble out of the automatic promotion spots, and into the playoffs.

Daniel Farke’s troops, as a result, will be forced to battle their way through a pair of gruelling playoff rounds, to ensure their place in England’s top-flight for 2024/25.

And, should such endeavours come up short, Roca will be given the green light for a swift return to Real Betis, on a fresh loan.
