Ructions behind the scenes at Arsenal could see Bayern Munich make a move for the club’s Head of Recruitment, Sven Mislintat.

Mislintat was poached by the north London side last year as they looked to make ground on Europe’s leading sides when it came to scouting and recruitment.

The German had done a similar job at Borussia Dortmund, where he’d signed the likes of Jadon Sancho, Ousmane Dembélé and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

But his relationship with Arsenal Director of Football Raul Sanllehi hasn’t worked as planned, and Bayern believe they can now tempt the 46-year-old back to Germany after just 12 months in England.

A report in the Independent has claimed that the bad atmosphere at the Emirates has stemmed from Mislintat putting forward strong recommendations for players, only for the club to ignore his advice.

Unai Emery has also taken more of an active role regarding recruitment – something Mislintat had not anticipated when appointed.

It now seems as if Bayern could make a move for the Head of Recruitment and believe a deal could be done before the end of the season.

The Bundesliga giants believe their own squad is in need of an overhaul and see MIslintat as the man to do it.
