Man United make contact for Real Madrid star | OneFootball

Premier League giants Manchester United recently made contact with the representatives of a surprise member of the attacking ranks at Real Madrid.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto of Relevo, who points towards Joselu as being the player in question.

Frontman Joselu has of course spent the campaign to date on loan with Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.

And, all told, the arrangement has proven to be a fruitful one for both parties.

After finding the net for the latest occasion over the weekend, the 34-year-old took his tally for the campaign to a none-too-shabby 14 goals, to go along with three assists.

As much comes despite Joselu being far from first choice in Los Blancos’ attack.

With Real Madrid yet to confirm their intention to activate the club’s cut-price option to buy the Spanish international from Espanyol, however, Joselu’s future remains open.

And, as alluded to above, one of European football’s biggest clubs recently attempted to take advantage of as much.

As per the aforementioned Matteo Moretto, speaking on ‘Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing‘, the Manchester United board initiated contacts with Joselu’s entourage, to gauge the chances of joining forces for next season.

The conversation is not thought to have gone far, with the player himself desperate to see his loan stint at the Santiago Bernabéu made permanent.

In the case of Real Madrid looking elsewhere, however, Man United could yet reenter themselves in the fray.
