Last night, Vinicius Jr. once again proved why he is seen as one of the topmost players in football currently as he helped Real Madrid secure a 2-1 win over Bayern Munich, in the process sealing a place in the UEFA Champions League finals.

The Brazilian ace was the star of the show as Los Blancos mounted a comeback from a goal behind to eliminate Thomas Tuchel’s side, walking away with yet another Man of the Match award.

Alejandro Garnacho comments on Vinicius’ social media post

Following the match, Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho took to social media to express his admiration for Vinicius Jr.

Reacting to a post made by the Real Madrid attacker, the Manchester United starlet commented on it, calling the Brazilian the best in the world.

“Best player in the world,” wrote Garnacho.

Ballon d’Or incoming?

Time and again this season, Vinicius Jr. has put his hands up when Real Madrid have needed him and delivered clutch performances.

The winger has now racked up 21 goals and 11 assists across all competitions, despite having missed around two months of action due to injuries.

With the La Liga title in the bag, along with the Spanish Super Cup, Vinicius Jr. could now add another Champions League winners’ medal to his tally.

And Man of the Match displays in both legs of the semi-finals showcase his quality. So, it would not be too far-fetched to suggest that the 23-year-old is a strong contender to win the Ballon d’Or this year.
